Cheater sewing for speed

`
I have a little obsession with using up the fabric remnants that I continually collect. No, it doesn't really make sense to me either.

Cotton flannel so it's very cozy. 42" x 56". The center panel is a cheat, the pattern being pre-printed, so not such a huge task as it might seem. The mitered corners likewise were not much of an issue beyond simply not having quite enough fabric to do everything easily.

Much to my disappointment the fabric remnants for the back were not all the precise same dye lots so that is a bit of a problem, but I suppose relatively minor. I actually did all the quilting -- sewing the layers together along the frame lines and along the printed patches -- between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. until the bobbin ran out. I would rather have been sleeping, thanks.

Again flannel, and I tried to do mitered corners again but the fabric was really, really running out so I had to fudge a lot. 38" square. Even the back is pieced, and slightly off center but not too much.

I did not use the quilt frame on these as I wanted to follow the printed lines on the fabric and the frame would not be at all practical for doing so.
